Four Winds - October

Mrs. Corrigan and Ms. Rebecca visited us today to teach us about the agents of erosion.
A favorite is always the puppet show!

Our first experiment that showed us that one drop of water can cause erosion. We got to use baby bottles!

Our next experiment was to have a control group of rocks and water that we didn't shake and another that we each got to shake 10 times. Look at the water from both below. The rocks eroded!

Then we got to go outside to use a bicycle pump to show how wind is an agent of erosion.

Then we tried to build up our hillside so it wouldn't erode. We learned we would need a lot of boulders and trees.

What great experiments!

Bridges Math

Unit one of Bridges Math is well underway! Our first module was all about sorting shoes by attributes and learning about fives.

Can you figure out how we sorted these shoes?

Choice time!!

Without a doubt, our favorite time of day is choice time! Games, art table, cars, trains, play-doh, sand table and marble run are some of our favorites so far in Kindergarten.

3 more butterflies

We had 3 more butterflies emerge from their chrysalides today! One of them did not want to leave us and thought a flower on a shirt was real!

Digging for potatoes

We are very lucky to have a school garden. We were even more lucky that we got to dig for potatoes!

We love Math work places!

We have enjoyed our time spent at Math work places. We have explored pattern blocks, unifix cubes, polydrons, geo-boards and pennies. Playing to learn!
